Yeah, I don't blame you. Seems like a headache and a half to me.

[It didn't seem like Wembley to do that sort of thing anyway. Nor did it seem like Ferdinand- out of his own curiosity he'd read the story on his last trip to the Library, but it wasn't bringing him any closer to the question of Wembley's powers.

...Of course, he didn't figure out half his own powers until a good while into his stay here either but, details.]

It probably would be, and it wouldn't be very nice.

[He scratched just below the horn on the opposite side of Gobo.]

Well, anyway, I'd be okay if I just have the flowers and being strong. I'd be okay even without the being strong!

[gobetween]

[He smiled and nodded, leaning back on his hands.]

Yeah, the flowers themselves are pretty nice, aren't they.

[forachange]

Yeah!

[He may have picked a few of them during his first few days, but as he felt closer and closer to the flowers, he'd stopped doing that. After all, he may have made them, but they were still real, living plants. He got to his feet, putting his hands on his hips as he looked around.]

You must've explored a lot of the Index by now, huh?

[gobetween]

I sure have! [Though Wembley stood up Gobo remained seated for now, resting his hands on his ankles.] I feel like I've got a pretty good lay of the land by now.

I knew you would have! But, gee, you think there's maybe part of the land where you maybe don't?

[He glances back, chuckling.]

You know, so we could explore it together!

[gobetween]

[He looked up at him and smiled brightly, sitting up some.]

Yeah, there probably is! And even if not, there's some places I could definitely go over in more detail.

[He rocked to his feet and got up, uncoiling his tail as he went and turning to go toward his door.]

[Watch the tail, Gobo, those flowers are friends-! Wembley made a small sound of surprised concern as he leaned around and down to tend to check on the ones that had been hit--

Ooh, speaking of hitting things, one of his horns definitely bonked against Gobo's head there. Oops?]

[gobetween]

[The thick part of the horn's curve caught him clear across the face and he let out a surprised sound, falling back to the ground. That noise turned to a bit of a pained hiss through his teeth as he braced himself up with one hand, the other covering his eye where he'd been struck.]

Jeez-! [Weak laugh] You oughta put a flag on that thing, Wembley.

[forachange]

[Uh-oh, that hiss didn't sound good. Wembley paused in place for a second, then slooowly - carefully! - he turned to look at Gobo.]

Sorry! Oh, gosh, Gobo, I'm really sorry!

[gobetween]

It's alright! It's not the worst knock I've ever gotten. [A better laugh.] It's not even the worst knock you've ever given me.

[Hey, when you're a bunch of rambunctious Fraggles, things happen.

He sat up a bit better and carefully removed his hand. He couldn't see it, but he could feel it- and Wembley would be able to see it. His eyelid was already swollen a bit and the area around it starting to bloom with a dark bruise.]

A moss pack for a few days and I'll be good as new.

[Wembley winced at the sight of the forming black eye. While Gobo was right about having gone through worse, it still didn't feel good having caused that.]

Actually, after a day, you should start putting a warm wet cloth on it. Boober told me that once.

[Being the endless fountain of injury-and-illness-related information that he was.]

[gobetween]

[He looked up at that with a blink- well, a sort of blink anyway.]

Really? Huh, alright. I guess that makes sense...

Anything else Boober tell you?

[He nodded.]

Bilberries are supposed to help, and kinda- [He flexed his fingers in example.] -massaging around there, you know?

[gobetween]

Bilberries, huh? Might be a little hard to find those around here, but the other stuff doesn't sound that hard to do.

[Speaking of, he really should get that moss pack onto this, so he- carefully, avoiding Wembley's horns -gets to his feet and starts back toward his home. On the way he gingerly touched the area and winced, then held his hand over it again.]

Gobo, wait!

[He scrambled to get ahead of his friend, making sure to go wide as he moved directly around him.]

Do you want some help?

[gobetween]

[He shook his head- ooh, that hurt, great there's a headache with this now too -and gave him a bright smile.]

Thanks, but I got it Wembley! It's just a moss pack, that's not difficult to do.

[forachange]

Oh, um, okay. Just... Call for me if you change your mind, please?

[gobetween]

[He paused, giving him a lopsided confused look.]

You leaving?

[forachange]

What? No! I... Yes? Maybe I should wait out here? I don't know!

I just don't want to hurt you again.

[gobetween]

It was an accident, Wembley. I'll be alright!

You know you can never really hurt me, right? So, I might not need your help right now but you can still stick around if you want.

[forachange]

[He was pretty sure he did just really hurt Gobo, but... He doesn't want him to be alone, just in case he does need help. Besides, was there any truly good reason to stay away from one's best friend? He smiled slightly.]

I do want that.

[gobetween]

Good. Then sit down and relax, while I get the moss pack together for my eye. Then we can start talking about where we wanna explore.

[forachange]

[He did just that, hands in his lap, as his smile grew some.]

Okay, Gobo. And if you change your mind about needing help, I really will be happy to help you!

I know, Wembley.

[A genuine, warm smile and he set off to gather some of the moss that grew in his cave. Making the pack was easy, though he wasn't quite sure how to keep it on his eye for now, at least and not have his hands stay free.

Electing to use his scarf for now with a shrug, he undid it and then carefully tied the strip of cloth around his head, threading it diagonally around the bulk of his muzzle and tying it near the nape of his neck, where it could support the pack from the bottom without having to go over the actual black eye. With that done, he went to gather his fledgling collection of Index maps together.]
